Easter Project at DuddingstonOn Easter Sunday 2008, more than 500 people watched ‘To The Cross’. Our outdoor Passion play took place from 2-4pm in the grounds of Duddingston Kirk and in the surrounding streets of Duddingston village. The play was produced by Charles Nowosielski and performed by Theatre Alba along with some well-known faces from the Kirk. Entry was free to anyone who came along. The audience arrive ready to begin Jesus leads the Last Supper Rev Jock Dalrymple, Rev Jim Jack and Rev Linda Bandelier Moving from the garden to behind the manse Pilate meets Jesus and the High Priest Jesus carries his cross through the village The play move on to Hawthorn Brae The two thieves being crucified Jesus on the cross The stone rolled away from the tomb The women at the tomb Jesus resurrected!
